Biography

Carlos Antonio (né Carlos Antonio Pajuelo) is a Peruvian-Canadian poet residing in Laval, Quebec. He has published in numerous literary and online magazines in Canada, the USA, Spain and Latin America since 2001. He holds an Honours B.A. in Spanish Literature and Society from Concordia University and an M.A. in Hispanic Studies from the University of British Columbia. Carlos Antonio defines himself as a cyberpoet, as most of his poetry has been published in online magazines, blogs and diverse websites. His first poetry collection “Días de luna nublada” (Cloudy Moon Days) was finalist at the National Poetry Prize PUPC 2005 (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú) . He has also obtained fellowships and scholarships from FHIS-UBC and SSHRC (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada).
